The school had organized an educational visit for Std V& VI students on July 17, 2025 (Thursday) and July18, 2025 (Friday) at Science Centre Surat .
A total of 453 students (227 of Std V and 226 of Std VI) along with 13 teaching staff and 2 non-teaching staff members, visited Science Centre Surat for two days. The visit was both educational and exciting, as students explored different sections such as Khoj, Fun Science Gallery, the Astronomy & Space Zone Robotics and Planetarium. Students explored an informative exhibit on the COVID-19 virus. They learned about how the virus impacts the human body, the vital role of antibodies, and the mechanisms behind immunity. The last surprise at Khoj was a fully automated human like Robot, which fascinated all of us. The guide demonstrated the functions and features of the robot. It was a striking moment to watch the robot obeying the commands of its guide. Next, they ventured into the Astronomy and Space Zone, where they navigated through our Solar System discovering their weight on different planets a creative way to understand gravity. Finally, it was time for some fun in the Fun Science Gallery, which exhibits scientific principles to life such as Newton’s Laws of Motion, Kepler’s Laws, the Doppler Effect, and many more. This interactive space allowed students to witness the magic of science in action, sparking curiosity and deepening understanding.
The school excursion proved to be interesting, informative and full of fun. The main objective of visiting the Science Centre Surat is to learn about science and technology in an interactive and enjoyable way. It aims to foster curiosity, critical thinking among the students.
